About

Where History Heats the Heart

Once buried inside an old Hermosa boiler room—part of the former American Licorice Company—lay a cavernous space that carried echoes of industry and silence. But for one creative couple, the boiler room represented not loss, but possibility: a blank canvas for memory and discovery.

They envisioned it as more than just a storage facility—it could become a place where the stories of small-town life, of homemade treasures, could live again. With bold exposed brick, red catwalks, and an air of intentional transformation, they built a space that welcomed curiosity and invited stories.

Today, Beyond Grandma’s House is that place. A vibrant antique shop alive with laughter, nostalgia, and wonder. Each aisle and display carries a piece of history, each object a whisper of a different life lived. Our mission began as Grandma’s cherished collection—and grew into a living museum for the community, rooted in the very soul of Hermosa.

We aren’t just selling vintage pieces. We’re reviving the stories they carry. We’re inviting you into a place where history is tangible, curiosity is encouraged, and every treasure connects us to something greater than ourselves.

Welcome to Beyond Grandma’s House: where the old boiler becomes a new beginning.
